Research is on-going for an internet cafe business

There's a good promo for Smart Bro and PLDT myDSL internet cafe start-ups. Me my girlfriend are planning to setup a 10 PC shop somewhere in Manila. The SMART and PLDT promos look solid at about Php. 300k plus with a ten PC set, but I still need to do some research on actual cost of of setting up an internet/gaming shop on our own.

The good thing about the promo is the licensed XP machines, but aside from this, what real benefits will we get with the whole promo 'coz I believe that we still need to pay royalty fees and maybe franchise fees. All of that will be clear once I phone their service center tomorrow.

Aside from all the fuss about the setup, finding a good location will be a big factor in this venture. I learned the hard way on my first business ( a food cart) that location will make or break the whole business. Thank God we were still able to get back our capital from that. I think that for finding a location, it doesn't matter how many people are there, the big question is will this people buy the services I offer? More importantly, I have to consider if people have the money and are willing to pony up for my services.

I hope that anyone who can share their experiences with business post a comment (positive or negative). Do you have tips for me on how to startup with less hassle as usual?
