Maxthon revisited

So I'm experimenting with Maxthon again using this wonderful plugin called Blogex.  I'm posting this using Blogex and I like the plugin so far - it's responsive and fast.  Now, if only maxthon wasn't dependent on IE6.  If wishes were horses then beggars would ride.  Anyway, I'll report any findings if I can.

A great homage to Dragon Ball Z

There's a great posting in this site about a 34-volume collection of the Dragon Ball manga featuring art from different mangakas.

"In 2004 the Dragon Ball manga was re-released as a 34 volume collection instead of the initial release of 42 volumes. This new release named Kanzeban was bigger than the old edition, with new covers and an altered storyline. But the best part of the Kanzeban is the artwork that comes with the book. Lex to leave Smallville

As the cliche goes - All good things must come to an end. Michael Rosenbaum disclosed in this article that Smallville season 6 will be his last. The big question is, will Smallville stop after this or will it continue with a new Lex Luthor? It's a shame though, the most exciting scenes in Smallville were the psycological warfare between the father and son Luthors.

D-list comics characters make millions

In lieu of Ghost Rider, a b-list comic character, making millions at the box office. Newsarama made a blog post about other b-list to d-list characters that might possibly become a big hit in the tills. Enter Matter Eating Lad! Enough said!

Scrotum is a naughty word

The Higher Power of Lucky is a children's book that librarians swore to ban in their libraries. The reason for the uproar is that the word scrotum has been mentioned in the first few pages of the book: “Scrotum sounded to Lucky like something green that comes up when you have the flu and cough too much,” the book continues. “It sounded medical and secret, but also important.”

The question is, why must people be pretentious? Scrotum is as scientific as you can get, much like saying penis or vagina, so why must you go "protect" the innocent from the word? And when exactly are you gonna teach a boy about his ballsacks anyway? The dog's scrotum was bitten by a rattlesnake and on other news, stupid people can't say dick, cock or scrotum.

Firefox 2 woes - crashing and unstable

I'm getting frequent problems with Firefox 2 when surfing Google reader and some sites on Cnet like the Buzz Report and other sites. Has anyone noticed that Firefox 2 is somewhat unstable and prone to crashing? If only Opera has the same extensions I use in FF then I will switch in a heartbeat.
